I don’t know if humans have a biological need to get to the highest points but I definitely really miss going up and getting an overview of the world.
Perhaps it’s because I live in a flat country, but the sight of cliffs and mountains gets me really excited.
I was born among the Andes and grew up surrounded by mountains in Madrid, so of course, I took them for granted.
Now, after 6 years of living in Denmark, I really miss this natural beauty.
So on my last trip, I was determined to go somewhere a little rockier. We travelled to Asturias, not the hottest tourist spot in Spain, where most people spend their summers languishing on the Mediterranean beaches.
I had to do a little research on Asturias, and I came across an article from National Geographic with a list of the most beautiful beaches in Asturias and I decided to visit them.
